Sunlight Small & Mighty 3x concentrated liquid laundry detergent

Overview

The 3x Concentrated Formula enabled replacement of the regular 2.95 litre bottle, with a smaller 94 6ml bottle - providing 54% savings in plastic and 51% savings in corrugate. The smaller bottles mean fewer trucks going from our warehouses to the stores, the formula uses 76% less water in the manufacturing process, while still providing a powerful cleaning solution to consumers. Competitive brands have paralleled sunlight's initiative and the combined impact of having the entire category change, will positively influence consumer behaviour and expectations for other categories.

Motivation for Change

To drive savings for the environment, while addressing Unilever and Retailer margin with “real” innovation to the laundry category.

There are also a tremendous environmental (and cost) savings by using 76% less water and 54% less plastic.
