Our Unisource Worldwide, Inc. Design Center
Team created unique corrugated boxes / inserts with no plastic, cellophane or twist-ties. The designs allowed consumers to see and touch the toys without compromising product safety. Our designs required a minimum material footprint, used recycled board and soy based ink for printing, lowering labor which has reduced the overall cost of packaging and the carbon footprint. Our Unisource Design Center managed the production process and quality with one of our local core suppliers only a few miles away from Green Toys' DC, minimizing shipping and transportation of packaging reducing the
product's overall carbon footprint and cost.
Unisource Design Center was not only successful in creating easy to assemble - easy to open packaging but ready for the recycling bin as well.
In conclusion, our creative and innovative
designs delivered an excellent solution and
visualized our customer vision for their overall green mission. Our packaging design helped our customer to present their environmental message not only through their toys but through packaging as well. Green Toys products are currently sold and displayed at the New York Museum of Modern Art as well as F.A.O. Schwarz, Toys R Us, Target and many more retail outlets. Unisource's creative solution

Optimizing shipping cube efficiencies was one of the main design objectives of design for this packaging.
We utilized 100% recyclable materials including
soy based inks for the design & manufacturing

Green Toys products & packaging are tested by nationally recognized, independent, third-party labs (located, yes, in the USA.) They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint.
